Computer Hardware and Networking
Computer Hardware refers to the physical parts of a computer system. These include components such as:
Central Processing Unit (CPU) – The brain of the computer that performs calculations and runs programs.
Motherboard – The main circuit board that connects all components of the computer.
RAM (Random Access Memory) – Temporary memory that stores data and programs being used.
Hard Drive / SSD – Storage devices that hold data permanently.
Monitor – Displays the output from the computer.
Keyboard and Mouse – Input devices used to interact with the computer.
Power Supply Unit (PSU) – Provides power to the components.
Networking involves connecting computers and other devices together to share data and resources. This can be done through:
Wired Networks – Using cables (like Ethernet) to connect devices.
Wireless Networks (Wi-Fi) – Using radio signals to connect devices without cables.
Router – A device that connects multiple networks and directs data between them.
Switch – A device that connects devices in a network and helps manage data traffic.
Modem – Connects the network to the internet.
